Application for Music Composer

Hello, Argus team.

I would very much love to be a music composer among your ranks. I do admit that I've only been following for a couple of months, but I want to be part something big, something greater. I have the experience of making at least 30 songs and am still continuing to. Please keep in mind that I'm still improving as I've only started last year. My compositions are among the orchestral type with perhaps a tinge of rock in a few. If you'd like, I can link one of my songs. I do look forward to your reply.

And why not ?   You can input midis everywhere

He's right, you know. It's really easy to covert anything from a midi. Sadly, the quality isn't always exactly perfect, and that MIDI violin absolutely claws at my ears.

I like the way they sound.

I even made a "Reluctant Heroes" Re-Orchestration for my friend. XP

I haven't yet listened to the other two (I am about to and will post a review of one on each after I have listened to it), but Run Away I really enjoyed. Just a few points - I feel the rock bit needs to be smoother. Abrupt entrances are fine, but when it abruptly leaves it doesn't sound right. Just a minor detail though in an otherwise fantastic piece.

Now for I Saw the Stars. Again, a very good piece. I especially loved the piano portion in the beginning (I was a piano player myself a few years ago). However, that was also one of the major problems with the piece. I felt that it was a bit bland and dry to have just the piano playing, so if you added in a few more instruments I think it would be fantastic. Also, this piece ended abruptly as well, but because of this piece's nature, I think it was appropriate. So, another fantastic piece.

Sorry to interupt GOD's reviews, but I think the main point of this is to say that we both think you'd be a great addition to Argus (it's not our decision, but we're hoping for you ). And if that's not what you were thinking, GOD, sorry...

Last, Door to Darkness. Epic battle theme. No real complaints on that one. However, I did notice that it got cut 3/5 of the way in the recording. Aka, there was no longer any sound. I feel that if you eliminated the empty space it would do wonders. Again, a fantastic piece - also, if we were to put this in, I would probably do so as a looping piece. Of course, all battle themes usually are, but still.

As for what Nomaru said, I completely agree. Three fantastic pieces. I do hope you make it, friend.

Yeah, the soundfont converter I use seems to extend a midi way longer than it actually it is, so that's why Door to Darkness seems to "cut out." I try to edit the "audio" (silence) out but to no avail. :/
