Re: A.L.O Info
I love it, that way flight just constantly drains agility. Maybe, once a player's agility is high enough, their stamina regen will be faster than the drain flying puts on it. That means that they can fly indefinitely, but their stamina regens slower mid-air. Also, certain races (the lighter ones) will have their flight take up less stamina than the heavier ones.

Re: A.L.O Info
Alright, so quick suggestion/clarification, if you fly for less than the maximum flight time, does the length of time it takes for the cooldown to work shorten as well? That would make sense to me.

Re: A.L.O Info
yes and no. Flight has a limit only through stamina, so flying will drain your stamina as you use it. If you fly until all your stamina is gone, then you have to wait for it all to regen. If you fly until part of it is gone than you have to wait for part of it to regen. It will take less time, but the stamina won't regen any faster one way or the other.

Re: A.L.O Info
I guess the entrance depends on what way the town faces and where its placed amongst the town. If the town has it slightly more north or in the center, have the entrance facing south.
And regarding flight time...
We can't make it so that players can fly indefinitely you're forgetting that there was an unplayable race that had that privilege. So unless you make it so that you can actually defeat the final boss you can't fly on for an infinity. I think thats what the player had to do at least.

Re: A.L.O Info
Well heres a pic of the town of Aline
" />
and for that i was thinking that the area thats close to that big branch(its the one on the right side) there somewhere in that little part of the city near the top is where we could put the entrance to it and from the size of aincrad- i would say that the base of the tree is 10 km as well and that its even bigger on the top like 20km since its a bunch of branches.

I would say like 30km. it looks to me like the tree triples in size w/ the branches rather than doubles.

Re: A.L.O Info
cool. maybe we have the entire upper tree be the regular mmo version of an endgame. It'll have a bunch of powerful bosses and raids (given that I don't think we want to use the version that was shown in the anime, you know, legal and ethical issues and stuff like that XD)

Re: A.L.O Info
so in order to reach the endgame you have to make it through, let's say, 500 of those monster things. Difficult, but not impossible. then the ceiling opens up and you get to play the endgame.

Re: A.L.O Info
well i was thinking that those guardians keep spawning, and after u reach the celling u get to face King Oberon, where if u defeat him, it unlocks the branches witch houses new places, like the new capital and the other places: like to get excalibure

Re: A.L.O Info
Hej guys, with the talking of agility and flight, i would say that we won't have a simple stat system (or a system that's as small as wow), but would be more like a skill/stat system that really extent customization of the character (where we could add a reset button so you can rearenge the points) so it would look more like path of exile (just in another way), so with stat's we could make some ways from the core so you can select some things and get better in that, like if you would like to be good at flying, you would go up in agility, but the agility road will have meny choices so it would be difficult to take only agility (like some gives som special stats, and some roads will lead against heavy damage or dps type of player), that way the system will be really complex and be like "easy to learn, but hard to master" (need some work to it, but the idea is it will be easy to get started with, but hard to get good at that class you would be).

Re: A.L.O Info
well alo doesn't have skills really, and i think the way the system is desgine now works perfectly, as u shouldn't be able to reset ur skills.

Re: A.L.O Info
so what happens to your skills if you die? I think that you should be able to keep any mastered skills the way they are, and all other skills will go down some but not all the way. That way there's still a penalty to dying but it's more open to casual players.

The higher the skill, higher the penalty?Nomaru wrote:so what happens to your skills if you die? Re: A.L.O Info
that makes sense, until your sill is mastered (if you spend all the time and effort getting a skill to 100%, it would be just cruel to have it taken from you every time you die). Though maybe, for every skill mastered, your armor takes significantly more durability damage, greatly increasing the monetary cost of dying in exchange for not losing any skill points.

Re: A.L.O Info
i think it should be
1: Master skill- dont lose anything from it.
2: The more skills u master the worse the penalty will be for the other ones that u dont have mastered.
3: or more items being taken away.

Re: A.L.O Info
Makes sense, also i have this idea. The more people you party with the harder the mobs you face will be. It works in Diablo but it's just for thoughtAkira_ wrote:i think it should be
