    okay. We can move it to sometime later in the game if we want to. What about a sci-fi floor. No guns, obviously, but maybe you're fighting stuff like energy swords and mechs. The floor could be full of huge, futuristic buildings (complete with hover car traffic that you can use to ride around). The mobs can be stuff like the local law enforcement or genetic experiments, etc. (i'll leave that up to GOD)

    I don't think we should have something like that for SAO. Doesn't feel right, that's just my opinion.

    yep, that's why I took it off the original list, but I figured I'd put it up again to take up the blank spot.  We can't use floor 21 because that's another jungle one.  Maybe one set in the mountains?  It's a little basic, but that should be fine for a low-level floor.

    Im not too sure about floor 19 though, didnt hear about vampires in sao. The dark knight theme suits better (in my opinion xd)

    I like the mountain idea and for vamps= there where a few like the dark elf queen was supposed to be a vamp

    We will have to add some themes of our own. There were definitely some supernatural enemies in SAO, so it stands to reason to me that all of mythology is open to us. Especially given that the Cardinal System had the ability to create quests based off of mythology. I do want to stay away from mages and stuff like that because Magic doesn't exist in SAO, though I could see it being given to certain mobs, idk. I'd use it only if we absolutely have to.

    Also you have to remember the floors get gradually bigger then gradually smaller again. And floor 100 Is a ruby palace. That would be a cool place to model. Maybe i'll tackle it. I'll have to read the manga to make sure im right about everything. I've watched the anime 4-5 times. I'm finishing downloading all the episodes as we speak. : P

    I already have the ruby palace modeled, and it gets smaller the higher u go up., Its the red part of the castle near the tip. of the aincrad model. the only thing left 2 do on is windows and i'm in the midst of doing that now.

    The top floor is just suppose to be the bosses palace right maybe some rare gem mobs? High Hitpoints and defense.

    its pretty big, will have to measure it in a bit, and its just 1 boss there- and the players will have to search the place for him.

    do you have an exact number (2km, 3km?) It might help us decide on concepts for higher floors because we'll know how much space we have to work with

    Its saying its 51855.29 meters. according to 3d max. and thats measuring at the 2nd level of floor 100, we can include high level creatures in there, since it has 3 levels to it. 1 and 2 are round ones, while 3rd is where u can find heathcliff at. in the ruby palace. witch looks like a whistle that a gym teacher would use lol

    I've actually been thinking along the lines of Noma's Shadow world with the idea on player copies alot lately but you could also approach them and they would act like a normal player until you ask them to do something they can't or they would randomly attack you upon approach

    I like that. It would probably be pretty hard to code the AI for the first one, but I like the second idea. It'll turn the whole floor into a landmine of sorts.

    I like Nerinea's idea of a maze floor. We could theme it like the Minotaur myth from greek mythology (you know, the one where they sacrifice virgins to the Minotaur in the labyrinth and this one hero goes and kills it, I can't remember what it's called, though.), with the boss's dungeon being the maze and the floor being ancient-Greek themed.
