    I'm running out of ideas slowly, as well as stuck on some weapons in currently working on, this can be an area where you post an idea and we can create concepts for it?

    I'd suggest picking weapon types that don't have a lot of weapons for them (tonfa, scythes, axes, spears, throwing picks, boomerangs, etc.  Basically anything that's not a sword.)  I honestly think we have too many people coming up w/ sword ideas.

    As for design ideas:  A shield that looks like a coffin, an enormous greatsword (design doesn't matter as much, just make it BIG XD), a trident, some kind of badass tri-blade boomerang, etc.

    we need a total of 3000 for each weapon category, and we do 1500 of each weapon per category, and leave the rest with for the weapon generator

    True, i guess as long as we're keeping up w/ the numbers and know when to switch focus from weapon types that'll work.

    yeah its a lot, but with that many i figured we wouldnt have a problem with the generator making unique weapons.

    I got an idea for a giant greatsword that actually one I have been working on, just can't get it right trying though! And a coffin-shield that's unique! I'll try it as well Smile

    this is the list of weapon types we have so far: 

    Swords (1 and 2 hand), Scythes, Axes (1 and 2 hand), Maces (1 and 2 hand), Katanas, Rapiers, Shields (I assume light and heavy types),Throwing Picks, Boomerangs, Chakrams, and Tonfa.  Then bows for ALO, but I think we should focus on SAO weapons for now.

    Yeah definitely light and heavy on the shields, and by doing all these weapons, it will also allow us to use the parts for ALO leaving only Bows.

    Yeah, I think we should do a bit more parts for the ALO weapons (mainly weapons inspired by magic or the races of fairies), but we should still use all of the parts from SAO.

    no naginata's? would add more types of spears/ halberds. plus most of what i just wrote are just different type of japanese swords. the katana is just a long sword.

    na just use with whats all ready what sao has is what will be in-game, no plans to add onto the list

    Scythes were added after-the-fact, too.  And Tonfa aren't really OP, they can deal damage but they can't take it.  If you think about it, especially w/ the bladed tonfa we'll (hopefully) be using, if you block an attack you'll be driving the blade straight into your arm.  That would mean that tonfa can't be used to block attacks at all, you can only parry and dodge.  That would make them the perfect weapon for high-skill agility players who want to deal damage.

    If you think about it, every weapon is OP in it's own way.  Rapier attacks move so fast that they're almost impossible to parry, spears are so good at keeping people at distance that most other weapons will have a really hard time getting close, especially high-strength stated people.  But all of these weapons have weaknesses too, just like the Tonfa; rapiers have a hard time taking the full force of a powerful blow, spears have a relatively small point where they can damage w/ the rest of the weapon harmless.  It's all a system of checks and balances, a really complicated game of rock-paper-scissors.  If a weapon is OP, then we just give it a weakness.  Especially if it's a weapon we already released that we'll include.  

    Though I do see your point, I think the tonfa (modified w/ what I put above) will only be unstoppable in the hands of someone who really knows what they're doing, but shouldn't that be the case for all of our weapons.  Anyway, I don't think we should consider it a lost cause just yet.

    well scyths were originally in the game- aka laughing coffin/fatal scythe , and i think we should just stick with whats been said was in the-game and i now know that a few people wont be using sword skills in battle, witch is the whole point of them
