ideas for weapons/shields

This entire thing makes me confused, partially cause it's late here but still

So do Estocs replace Tonfa?

Yeah Estocs replace the Tonfas- as a single weapon-that has high speed and dps

Well all weapons categorys will be separate skills  So 1-handed curved sword- 1 handed long sword, 1 handed Axe and ect r all separate skills, that if is selected as ur skill will need to be lvled up separately

Oh, i meant all weapon-skills in one-handed longswords as a reference will work on all longswords if you unlocked them with a different weapon of the same type(longsword)

So, are we going with the idea that you level skills on different types of weapons, each skill mastered gives you a point towards Full mastery?

The more you use the weapon, the higher your mastery level will be. Every now and then, you'll get new sword skills, and every time you reach 200pts then you gain a slight damage boost with weapons of that type.

you can use any type of weapon as long as it belongs to that weapon skill category, and to progress towards mastery, u will need to use the sword skills of that weapon category, and damage the enemy for it to count, and if u damage ur enemy u gain .25 of 1 number so lets say i used  slant-in the 1 handed long-sword category, and hit my enemy 1 with it, and lets say my progress in that skill is 50/1000 so that gives me 50.25/1000 making progress towards 51/1000 or a shorter version look at what noma said

But you still keep the skill as long as it's the same weapon type? And do you only have to use it or did you have to use skills to gain progression? Other than that i'm onboard on what going on

So it will be like Skyrim basically?
